Our Story
For more than 35 years, our practice has had the privilege of caring for the vision and eye health of families throughout the San Antonio community. Under the leadership of Dr. Charlene Haynes, the office became known not only for clinical excellence, but for the genuine relationships formed with each patient who walked through the door.
Before retiring in December 2024, Dr. Haynes carefully ensured the future of the practice by entrusting her patients to Dr. Anna McKinney, who had worked alongside her for more than three and a half years. With complete confidence in Dr. McKinney’s expertise, compassion, and commitment to patient care, Dr. Haynes knew the tradition of thoughtful, personalized eye care would continue.
Today, Dr. McKinney proudly carries that legacy forward. Together with the same trusted team, she continues the practice’s commitment to advanced technology, attentive service, and a concierge-style patient experience where every individual is treated with care and respect.

Accepted Insurance
We are currently in-network with VSP (Vision Service Plan) and Medicare. If you have a different insurance plan, you can still receive eye care services – such as exams, contacts, or glasses – from an out-of-network provider, and you may be eligible to submit a claim for partial reimbursement. For Medicare: Our office is pleased to accept and file Medicare claims, however we are a non-participating provider and do not accept assignment. Payment is due in full at the time of service, and Medicare reimburses the patient directly.
